November 2009 - Net Directories Inc. Announces Medical & Emergency Contact Module NDI announced it has released a vital new module for its Family Directory. This new Medical & Emergency Contact module, when combined with the Family Directory, allows both parents and school medical staff to perform on-line updates of detailed medical information and emergency contact information for each student. The program provides extensive reports and tools to update, view and manage the information as well as the ability to email the medical profiles to parents for review. Profiles are password protected and parents only have access to their own family records. Derek Fisher, President of NDI, in making the announcement said, “Over the past several months, and in light of today’s sometimes complex medical environment, several of our clients have asked if we had plans to introduce a module to assist schools with medical profiles.” He said further, “We worked with a couple of clients who had given the idea a lot of thought and together we developed, and then tested the program we are now making available to other clients.” It is of great benefit for any school to have current medical records for each student on the premises and just a few keystrokes away. The cost of the module is determined by the number of families in the directory. Typically schools with between 350 to 1000 students would pay $35.00 to $60.00 per month for the program within the Family Directory, with a nominal setup fee to customize the forms and output. Profiles can be accessed individually, selected by class, or be accessed selectively (e.g. a sports team) from the database. They can be printed out and used by teachers and coaches on school trips or sporting events. Anyone supervising students off-campus can be easily provided with up-to-date and accurate medical and contact information in case of emergency.
October 2009 - Net Directories Inc. selected by St. Mary's Academy Net Directories Inc. is pleased to announce that St. Mary's Academy, of Englewood, CO, has chosen NDI to meet it's Alumnae communication needs. SMA wanted a system to allow alumnae to connect with one another, and to allow staff to be able to broadcast to alumnae in an easy to use manner.
October 2009 - NDI Announces Client "Skin" Technology Recognizing that the basic design of the systems offered to client schools is over 10 years old, NDI has been working on a significant upgrade that will allow clients more flexibility in designing the look and feel of their alumni directory, online donations, event registration and online store systems. The first phase has been completed and is available, at no extra charge. The upgrade is based on creating a "skin" for a client, a layer of HTML and CSS that determines the look and feel of the systems. A single "skin" can be applied to all pages of client systems at once, wrapping the pages in graphics, colours and fonts that closely match your website design. These skins can make your NDI systems look like an integral part of your website, whether you have designed it in-house, or use a third-party supplier like Whipplehill, Finalsite or Silverpoint. See an example at The Sterling Hall School.
NDI/RD - Recurring Donations Released! The latest innovation from Net Directories Inc. is the advanced NDI/RD program which allows client schools to offer donors the convenience of a recurring donation option while improving accuracy and eliminating the costs associated with manual administration. This new program can work alone, in conjunction with the NDI/Giving module or in conjunction with any generic online giving system. Once a donor profile has been established and activated, the program is fully automated, and features real-time credit card processing and self-generated PDF tax receipts. Highly-efficient and moderately-priced, the module was developed in response to several client requests and is reflective of the need for efficiency and the growing popularity of recurring donation alternatives offered by major non-profit fund raisers. more...
