The Charles H. MacDonald Memorial Lectureship was established by his family in 1954, to honour the memory of The Reverend Dr. Charles MacDonald. The lectureship was endowed "to relate to some aspect of practical ministry in church or society" and where possible to be delivered by a minister or member of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
The day will include a presentation by The Rev. Dr. Stuart Macdonald tentatively titled, "“Living in the Wilderness: The Church in the contemporary Canadian Context." He will share his research into the present context that The Presbyterian Church in Canada presently finds itself. The afternoon will also include the stories of congregations and presbyteries within the PCC of how they are surviving and thriving in the wilderness today.
