Bad News About Les Miz

Ouch!

I hate making mistakes. I made a doozy when I assumed the rules for Les Miz were the same as for other shows we have done. When I received and read the contract from the royalty holding company, I saw that the show is restricted to high school students only.

I contacted the company and explained that we are a small school, and asked for some consideration on this point. They were very pleasant, but the answer was "no". The students and I are now working through the practicalities of either trying it on our own or choosing another spring show.

I was excited by the response I received from alumni, and so, I am particularly sad to say we cannot do this. I apologize for getting hopes up. I will go on record, therefore, as saying we will have another Alumni Homecoming Play (if the Lord wills) in the next two years.

Dana and Malia
It's A Girl for Dana (Eernisse, 2000) and Corey Buchholz!
Mr. Dennis Eernisse (proud grandfather) writes:

Dana gave birth to Malia Addison Buchholz at 8:12am on July 23. It was an 8 hour delivery. Malia was 9lbs 2oz, 21 1/4"

Dana was so calm and focused the entire delivery, the mid-wife was amazed at how Dana handled herself. There was however, some un-named Grandpa that cried uncontrollably and had to be sedated.

Thanks for all your prayer support. Dana and Malia, I'm sure, sensed every one of your prayers!

It's a Boy for Eric (1992) and Mee Sun Pawley!
Eric and Mee-Sun write:

Join us in celebrating the birth of Thomas Eun-Chan Pawley. He was born by Caesarean section on June 14, 2008 weighing 3.1 kg ( 6 lbs, 13 oz) and 49 cm (19 inches) long.

The name “Thomas” is after his father and grandfather. While the name “Eun-Chan” means “continued grace”. Eric & Mee-Sun Pawley - eric_pawley@sil.org Chiang Mai, Thailand
